Marketing Executive (Freelance)

We’re looking for an experienced Marketing Freelancer to join our small, friendly team for at least 3 months and to play a key role in the delivery of our growth plans.

Role summary

This role is to join the marketing team and support the Marketing Manager across the growing portfolio of international technology conferences ranging from 300 to 1000+ people. You will work very closely with the Marketing Manager and fellow Marketing Coordinator to execute the marketing campaigns for the portfolio of conferences and brands. The role will be varied and fast-paced.

Ideally, we would like the whole team to be based in the Brixton office together, but we are happy to consider flexible or remote schedule if you prefer to be based from home (or elsewhere) with occasional office visits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering multi-channel marketing campaign plans (channels include but not limited to website, email, social media, content management, paid ads across Twitter, Linkedin, Google and Youtube, paid and unpaid partnerships)
  • Copywriting and editing marketing emails, blog posts, press releases, videos etc.
  • Contribute innovative and creative ideas to help improve our marketing campaigns
  • Analysing customer data, competitors and researching externally to identify trends, opportunities, and making recommendations based on the data
  • Coordinating the design and production of collateral for web and print (banner ads, flyers etc), including identifying and recording requirements, briefing suppliers and placing orders
  • Setting up and monitoring paid ad campaigns (Twitter, Linkedin, Google, Youtube)
  • Helping the team with general events marketing tasks
  • Communicating with the marketing team on a daily basis for progress updates and signing things off

For this role, we’re looking for a confident marketer, who has:

  • At least 1-2 years of events marketing experience
  • Strong copywriting and excellent grammar
  • Strong organisation skills - able to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently
  • Attention to detail

We’re not an events agency. We design and run our own conferences – everything from coming up with a concept to researching the market, programming the content, inviting the speakers, building the website, selling the tickets and ensuring everything runs smoothly on the day. We run conferences in collaboration with industry leaders and brands to create ambitious, content-focused and engaging conferences for the digital industries.
